This prime Cycladic property was a large family home, a traditional village house, beautifully restored, and divided into 2 living spaces: the ground floor and the first floor. This listing is for the ground floor, which is spacious (120m²) and comfortable, overlooking the main village alley, perfect for a family.
The house is nestled in the countryside, 20mn drive from the port, in a car-free village, but central and perfectly located for sightseeing.
The beach of Kolimbithra is a 10mn drive. There are tavernas and excellent dining in the nearby villages. Galatea House Katoï with patio is the ground floor of the house. It can accommodate 6 guests. There are 3 bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds, 1 single bed), a living room with a sofa-bed, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, and a patio.
Featuring Wi-Fi and modern appliances (microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, washing machine, fridge, coffee maker..), it meets all the needs of modern travelers. The architecture of the house is traditional: the floor is made of large stone slabs, and the thick whilte walls maintain a comfortable climate year-round. There is a fan in every room.
The bedrooms are very cozy, with antique furniture, beds with comfortable mattresses, and ecological bedding, offering a place of serenity. Cotton linen and towels are provided. House cleaning during your stay can be scheduled. The small patio (13m²) with a garden table and chairs, and a traditional Cycladic built-in bench, is a perfect place for outdoor leisure.
The view is on the village, mountains and fields. There is ample free parking at the village entrance, which is very close to the house. Galatea House provides an authentic experience reflecting the owner’s familial heritage since 1933.
The village of Kato Klisma is quiet and quaint. Children can enjoy games in the alleyways, discover the old wash house, the pigeon houses, cultivated fields, the 14th century church with splendid icons (renovated in 1757), and a small basketball court. Trails also start from Kato Klisma to the mountains and the sea, offering stunning views.
